We are Ian, Dawn and Noah Raper and live in a village close to Billericay in Essex. Between us we run a small Engineering Design company, most involved in the Automotive Industry.

We have each been around dogs and other animals all our lives, with Ian being brought up on a farm and Dawn's mum keeping many different breeds of dog and an occasional breeder of Maltese.

Ian & Dawn

Our first foray into the Molosser breeds was a Dogue De Bordeaux boy, Balloo, who we got in 2000. He was a very handsome lad and very true to type, however the various health issues he had put an end to any thoughts we may have had of venturing into the world of Showing. Against the odds, Balloo gave us five and a half fabulous years, along with an insight into most of the possible ailments the Molosser breeds can suffer from and a true respect for their strength, loyalty and stability. Balloo made us very proud when he passed his assessment and got accepted as a Pets As Therapy (PAT) dog.

It was a couple of years after his passing before we felt ready to get another dog and had agreed on what breed to go for. After visiting many Shows, as well as Discover Dogs, we were convinced that the Bullmastiff breed ticked all our boxes and set about finding the right Breeder and Line for us.

Nala & Lillie

With our decision made to go for a puppy from the Dajoxx Kennel it was then just a matter of patiently waiting for their next litter and hoping that there would be a little bundle of naughtiness for us, and indeed there was... Dajoxx Woo Hoo ...aka Nala.

It was our intention to give Showing a go, and from the start us and Nala were off to Ringcraft several times a week, we all had a great deal to learn.

Luckily we found a couple of Ringcraft clubs that fitted with our schedule and gave high quality, patient instruction. It's a credit to Terry and Cath at North London Ringcraft Club as well as Bill at Crews Hill Ringcraft that in quite a short space of time we were in the Show Ring giving the impression we knew what we were doing.

Early in 2009 we were then given the opportunity to take on our second girl, Dajoxx Ooh La La JW ...aka Lillie, and to continue her promising Show career. It was a lovely thing for Dawn & Paul at Dajoxx to have entrusted us with their beautiful girl, and for that we are very grateful.

Our third Bully came to us in late 2010 from Debbie and Delme Thomas of the Heriol Kennel. Heriol Hot Ticket, aka Dylan, has an incredible pedigree, born to the UK Top Bitch 2009 and UK Top Puppy 2008, CH Dajoxx Ticketyboo at Heriol JW ShCM (Saffy). Dylan is from similar lines to our girls with Saffy being half-sister to our Lillie. He starts his Show career in early 2011

With us taking Dog Showing more seriously and thoughts of possibly breeding our own line in the future we decided to register our own affix, Constantia, which was granted by the KC in 2008.

Constantia is an area close to Cape Town, nestled behind Table Mountain on the Cape Peninsula in South Africa. We have a second home just down the road from there in Hout Bay. Dawn had lived in SA for around 4 years, while her mum was there for almost 15, and we were actually married in the Sabi Sands area of the Kruger National Park, so have a close connection with the country.

The Cape Peninsular is a spectacular place, if you fancy some winter-sun, we thoroughly recommend it and it's a great location from which to explore the Southern tip of Africa. Select the adjacent image to visit to our second home.
